here ye here ye!!!

New old post that was started on August 6th is now up for your viewing pleasure. Go to the right column and click n August and find the post with smiling grandparents! Yes there are Blogging giants laughing at our 98lb weakling attempts to blog, but we are trying and that has to count for something in the midst of sleep deprivation and living most of our lives away from the computer. Thanks for your patience. Steve, for the Team!

It is never too early to teach your kid how to skip stones across a river on a perfect night.

Had to post this one from this morning!

...and while I'm at it, this one is pretty cute, too.

Another Happy Morning!

Annie was all smiles this morning. Here are a few shots I took of her in her bouncy seat. (Not sure what's up with the lines through the second two, but given the other problems we've had posting pics, I'm not going to worry about it.)

A couple of days ago we went shopping for new frames for Steve. And since Annie's daddy has had glasses since age four, we thought we should have Annie try on a pair, just in case they're in the cards for her, too. I think she looks fabulous (although a tad plastic-y, probably because of the fluorescent lights). She was asleep in her sling when we took ths pic.

From a week or two ago...

My little buddy

Annie has been using her hands more lately. Not A LOT, but a little. Here's her holding my hand while nursing.

Annie loves her changing table

We get some of the best smiles from Annie after we take off her soiled diaper and prepare her for a new dry one.  She coos and smiles and is amazingly content...but I guess if I had a wet diaper and the big giant person that I lived with was making me nice and dry again, I'd be all coooing and smiling too.
Yes we know that there are people actually dying because we have not updated our blog and all we can say is...awake oh sleeper, rise from the dead...we are back in action...get ready for the cuteness...and a whole back log of photos.  (we really hope this is going to work well from here on out.) Much Love, Team Baliko!

From a few weeks ago...

Well, our picture-posting problems are not yet resolved. Aaron had no problem posting pictures on our blog, but we continue to. Seems it must be a problem with our computer or picture files. I was, however, able to get one to post. The picture below was taken a few weeks ago when Steve's parents were in town. Annie was just three weeks old then; now she's a whopping six and a half weeks!

For those of you who don't know about the orange thing I'm carrying her in, it's called a Moby Wrap. Basically, it's six yards of fabric that you tie around yourself a certain way, then insert baby, and viola! - hands free carrying in a warm and comfy environment for the baby. Annie seems to like it when she's almost asleep or asleep. When awake she prefers to be facing out (which she'll be able to do in the moby wrap in a few months), or dangling face-down over one of our arms, or in a pocket sling that she can see out of.
