A couple of weekends ago we took a little vacation to the Seattle area (Renton, to be exact). It's a long story about how we ended up in this exact location, but despite questions from friends like, "
Renton? Why are you going
there?", we had a really wonderful time. We had just a few things we wanted to do - go on a hike, go swimming in the hotel pool, and go to the beach. All three (as well as just spending time together) were a lot of fun, though this post will only include pictures of the hike. (Maybe we'll do another post with some swimming and beach pictures.)
The area we hiked was called Cougar Mountain, and here's a snapshot of what much of the hike looked like.

Annie seemed to enjoy examining the flora...

...while Steve and I enjoyed our little Snuggle Bug. (Note the new wrinkly-nose look which Annie developed on this trip and has been perfecting ever since!)

And
this was what our Snuggle Bug looked like for half of the hike - conked out!

(And yes, Steve carried her the entire 5+ mile hike.
Thanks, Honey!)

Back home, Annie enjoyed sharing an apple and some reading time with her daddy...
