Here we go...after a famine of photos...a feast!
Joseph's First Birthday!
For both of these sets of photos, I'm going to give you a brief story of the day and then let the photos roll on. We prepped the big day with my brother and sister-in-law and their son. (so if you see another cutie pie that's him) Balloons and cake baking and decorating for the big event. We played games with relays of cheerios being carried to Joseph in his highchair (he loved that!) The cake (which he was mostly disinterested in) and the opening of family presents and posing for a little one year old photo on his new bed (this boy HATED a crib that we bought for him...so we have simply graduated him to a bed he will probably have for a decade.) It was a wonderful weekend with friends and family. (you can also get a glimpse of the new clothesline I built for our backyard...complete with antique glass insulators.)
July: Annie's Third Birthday!
How did this happen...THREE years already. We started off with a little family party in the back yard...she had requested a painting of a plane with a strawberry on it and Darla (being the amazing artist that she is) delivered in spades! Her big surprise was a scooter and bike...both pink of course. She got some practice out front on the sidewalk. (When PopPop was here he gave her some good lessons in how to ride the bike and she's riding all the time now). We also had a big old gathering in the backyard...hot weekend so we put up a little shade shelter. More cupcakes and fun and games. Annie was not all that interested in blowing out the candles on her cake...but she had plenty of little friends willing to lend their efforts to the cause. Summers are festive at the Baliko's.
Hopefully this will make up for drought of images. I will keep 'em coming. We love you all!
