Joseph's Four month Pictures (October 3, 2011)

Here they are barely a month late...wow we are so close to being caught up! No too many captions on these...just lots of smiles and four months of cuteness!

This parting shot was his...I'm SOOOO tired of getting my picture taken look. We love you son, thanks for putting up with you're crazy parents.

September 2011 Camping +

First two pictures are just some shot around the house...reading and playing! How could life be better (well if all of you reading this were here to share it more often, that's how!)

We spent the last weekend in September camping with friends from church...warm sunny weekend out by the Clackamas River. Darla and Joseph coming out for the morning chow...slow cooked eggs cooked in an iron kettle over an open fire...mmmmm...good!

Joseph is wide-eyed and ready to face the day!

Camping is about sitting around talking and enjoying time together...

And yogurt, don't forget the yogurt.

After you have a hearty breakfast you either need to take a nap (like Joseph and Darla) or you need to throw rocks in the river...that was the choice we made.

Even after we cleaned out the tent Annie was still pretty excited about being in the great outdoors!

She loved sitting on this pole and after this photo to me "go away dadda, go away."

I'm not far out of reach when this picture was taken...she's so brave!

End of the camping trip slump...time to go but we really don't want to leave. A great end to the summer!

Farm Store in Olympia (September 2011)

On the way back to Portland we stopped at Lattin's Cider Mill and Farm (www.lattinscider.com) and had a blast checking out all the animals, enjoying some sweet snacks and buying wonderful fruits and veggies (a friend has told me that they have fantastic take and bake homemade pies too) Annie got on a horse and rode like the wind!

Annie looks like a real farm girl inspecting the animals...ohhh did she want to hug them all so much!

There was a cool set of hand water pumps that sucked up water and helped propel a yellow duck down a long green pipe...Annie and Daddy had a blast while momma took some great artsy pics.

Impossible to resist the chance to pose the kids for this one...Annie looks a bit happier then Joseph does about the whole arrangement.

I know the last few blog posts have been light on the Joseph side of things but I think this one power packed picture of cuteness pretty much makes up for the lack.

Annie thought this merry-go-round was one of the coolest things she had ever experienced.

Visiting Uncle Chris and Aunt Deb in Seattle (Sept 2011)

Let's just get the best picture out of the way first. Annie's hair is getting LONG and this gravity defying swing allowed for her curls to get maximum stretch. WOW! You're gonna wanna zoom in on this one, trust me!

This one of those, "ahwww isn't that cute...no no don't put your mouth on that" moments you have as a parent...good times good times.

We loved the chance to see Deb and Chris in their new place in North Seattle, great apartment with some wonderful and huge south facing windows.

How could you go to Seattle and not have warm donuts at Pike's Market, Annie should be getting some kind of advertising contract for this shot.

Not sure if Chris, Annie or Mr. Teddy Bear was having the most fun with these balloons?!

FEAR NOT grandparents...Annie was securely strapped into the carrier for this shot...although it does look like she's just hanging out over the cold waters of Puget Sound. We only had to fish her out once...just kiddin'

Annie-in-a-box (Sept 2011)

Everyone once in a while Annie likes to reminisce about living in a studio apartment and sleeping in a closet. This is her way of staying in touch with her roots...and she tells me that it is super comfortable. Move over Snuggie, here comes the Wickerboxy (where's waldo book not included, some assembly required, not recommend for anyone over 30 lbs or if you are afraid of small spaces)

PS She's REALLY good at finding Waldo...I mean crazy good!
