Georgie and Uncle Steve: Planting Snow Peas

Despite the evidence of the last two posts, it does rain here. On a sunny day during Nikki and Aaron's visit, Georgie and I decided to plant some snow peas in the front garden. To get ready for the adventure we read a book that Darla gave me for Father's day last year: Growing Vegetable Soup.

Georgie made some holes with our trusty wooden spoon and investigated the seeds that had been soaking in water.

The she dropped them in the holes one at a time (or mostly one at a time) and then patted some fresh dirt over the holes.

And it was time to play in the mud.

Georgie, stay tuned...I'll be posting the progress of our seeds. Let's see what happens!

  2. Fun times with Uncle Steve! It looks so sunny and springy and start-of-the-gardeny.

I still think of the little loader going down the road with your wheat crop in it. That was such a rad post.
