Autumn Annie

On our recent trip back east, my Dad (PopPop Baliko) captured a contemplative moment Annie was having with the gourds and pumpkins. I like to believe she was thinking: "If only I could remember that recipe for making an endless supply of energy from hook-necked squash and candy corn...what was that secret formula???"

PS: Something about our blog has changed and change for Team Baliko always means there is something new just about to happen...Stay tuned. After ten people comment below with their speculations, we'll provide more details. (you may have to have a gmail account to comment...so get with the program!)

  4. Now that I've caught up on blogville, I must say these things:

    1. Annie is cuter than the ear of a bug. Her hair is positively edible.

    2. You have gotten some great shots this past few months. I especially love the one of her standing in the light blue dress at the wooden door. Wow. And of her on Steve's shoulders raising her hands like it's a roller coaster. And of the wild-haired child on the post (in black and white) at the birthday bash.

    3. Steve, I'm sure Annie won't remember her tears about that mustache forever, especially when she looks at that photo as an adult and detects the twinge of guilt on your face. That scenario sounded pretty funny.

    4. Nice ducky pool. You guys have a duck-themed life going on, don't you?

    5. Her birthday looked verrry cute. Nice decorating and cakes, Darla. I like that she had to wait 30 minutes before swimming. We all do, Annie. Just accept it.

Much hugging, as usual, from afar,
    Lori

  5. Hi Aunt Darla and Uncle Steve!!
I was just checking out your pic of the ducks when I saw not only a Mommy duck, A Daddy duck and a Baby duck but also the Mommy duck was carrying an egg... hmm...Very suspicious.. Are you going to have a baby perhaps?!?!? If you are then congrats and my parents are very good at not telling me these kinds of thing,if not well then disregard this comment!
    Love your oldest niece,
    Samantha
P.S.If you are having a baby are you going to wait until AFTER the baby is born to tell us the name?? Give Annie a hug for me!

  6. You got it, Samantha! A new little cousin for you - due sometime around May 22nd. And yeah, we probably won't tell anyone the name until after the baby is born. In fact, if it's like with Annie, we probably won't decide for sure on the name until after he/she is born. ...Speaking of which, we're also not planning on finding out if it's a girl or boy, either, so that'll be yet another surprise when the baby is born -- even for us! Maybe with this one we'll take bets on the gender, size, date of birth, etc. Wouldn't that be fun!
    Love your youngest(?) aunt,
    Darla

  8. A new Baliko! Very exciting! And congrats!

I think betting should be around the total number of possible Balikos.
