Hiking and Strawberry Picking

Last Sunday we went for a little hike and picnic at Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge not far from our house. Here are a few pictures we took along the way...

The old "blowing on grass to make it buzz" trick--Annie was clearly impressed...

The old "chewing on camera case" trick...

Isn't she cute?!

She loves apples...

...and daisies...

...and rubbing her legs on this black, soft blanket.

...and her Mama loves her!

The weekend before last we went berry picking at Sauvie Island. Here are a few shots we took while there.

Finally, here is a picture of Annie in her duckie rain jacket after a walk we went on a few weeks ago. She was on my back and kept taking her hood off (and I couldn't reach to put it back up!), so she actually got quite wet.

Finally, make sure you scroll down to see the previous post with some close up shots of our girl's curls!

  3. In the picture with Steve and Annie facing the camera, you can see that their eyes are exactly the same shape. Aaron pointed out, and I agree, that in the one above the line "and daisies," she looks quite a bit like Darla.

  4. Fun times! The one of Annie rubbing her legs on the blanket is very funny and cute.

I just now get your duckie picture at the top of the blog. It's your family! Appropriately eye-lashed to indicate sex!

Hey, in related news (like, there being three duckies to symbolize a family of three), did you know that Autumn (my cousin in Anc) is now expecting? Autumn and Nic, her husband, of course, but I don't think you know him. She just finished her midwivery training too within a month of finding out, so that may have to go on hold. But anyway, yay for babies!
